Job Title: Registered Counsellor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Counsellor to join our team at Lifemark Health Group. As a Registered Counsellor, you will work with clients to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness. You will adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as a Registered Counselling Therapist.
- Minimum Master's Degree in a counselling-related field such as Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
