Training and Development Specialist

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Facilitating face-to-face training for various levels of management and front-line associates
  2. Developing quality training materials and programs that deliver maximum business impact and great results
  3. Using blended learning techniques to facilitate training programs
  4. Tracking and evaluating training programs to ensure appropriate business impact
  5. Providing 'train the trainer' support to assist in the provision of training to our widely decentralized organization
  6. Conducting research into programs and tools leading to the best options for delivery
  7. Maintaining a self-directed approach to staying current on best practices in the marketplace

We're committed to hiring the best talent for the role. To be successful, you will need:

  1. 5+ years' experience with developing and facilitating training sessions in a corporate environment
  2. Degree or 3-year college diploma; Certificate in Adult Education would be an asset
  3. Strong evidence of continuous learning
  4. Proven ability to employ adult learning principles throughout the instructional design and facilitation processes
  5. Experience with coaching and mentoring managers
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  8. Great consultative skills with strong ability to influence all levels of professionals
  9. Strong project and time management skills, including planning, analysis, organizing, and prioritizing
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  11. Willingness to travel up to 40% (within Canada)
