About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at JIT Automation Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical installations and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Inspection and Testing: Assist in inspecting mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Project Management: Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants, and supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and drawings for mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Estimation and Costing: Estimate costs and materials required for mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Engineering Design and Specifications: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical installations and construction projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Confined spaces, noisy, and hot environments.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, organized, team player, values and ethics.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, SolidWorks software.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel.
