About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Sun Glow Window Coverings Products of Canada Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and testing mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Testing: Conduct a range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software to design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures that meet our manufacturing requirements.
  • Tooling and Manufacturing: Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures that meet our manufacturing requirements, ensuring efficient production processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Testing and Validation: Test machines and equipment to ensure they meet our quality standards and validate their performance.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, CAD software, and quality assurance principles.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, and able to work in a team environment.
