About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at JIT Automation Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical installations and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.
  • Project Management: Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants, and supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software to create and edit designs.
  • Estimation and Costing: Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications, and prepare reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, and SolidWorks software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Confined spaces, noisy, and hot environments.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
