Job Summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of our company-wide risk management process.
  • Align risk management processes with our business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Conduct risk identification through assessments, including analyzing contracts, documents, statistics, reports, and market trends.
  • Evaluate and quantify risks flagged by the organization, determining costs, legal requirements, environmental factors, and historical loss analysis.
  • Provide advice, counsel, and direction on risk and insurance matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Direct and manage outsourced service providers in the areas of insurance, finance, and legal.
  • Participate in negotiations with owners and other third parties related to managing project financial risk.
  • Develop innovative, creative, and cost-effective techniques to manage, mitigate, and finance the cost of risk.
  • Educate, train, and build risk awareness with others in the organization.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in risk management and/or insurance.
  • Strong leadership skills and results-oriented.
  • A post-secondary degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or Law.
  • Strong technical acumen in the area of insurance and risk management.
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, able to work under extremely tight deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an emphasis on presentation, negotiation, and influencing others skills.
  • Ability to understand broad and complex business issues.
  • Ability to lead a high-performance team and project management skills.
