At Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS), we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist and Risk Management Leader to drive financial excellence within our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in senior leadership roles, demonstrating a vision-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills. They will excel in strategic leadership, planning, and execution, as well as risk management.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of APS's strategic plan. As a member of our executive team, you will participate in the development of financial strategies and supporting metrics, while ensuring compliance with all governing authorities.

We are looking for someone with expertise in risk management and internal audit, preferably with a designation or certification from a recognized risk, fraud prevention, internal audit, or compliance organization. Experience with financial reporting and audit practices, as well as knowledge of public sector accounting regulations and industry best practices, is also essential.

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, is required. A master's degree or MBA is highly desirable.
