About Our OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Technician to join our team. As a Forensic Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the Medical Examiner in performing autopsies and other duties related to the investigation of deaths.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Medical Examiner in performing autopsies and other duties related to the investigation of deaths
- Document all personal belongings and evidence
- Take x-ray and dental x-rays
- Package and ship or transport specimens
- Communicate with funeral homes and body removal contractors
- Clean autopsy stations between cases and terminal clean the morgue
- Perform in-house laundry and order and maintain autopsy and scene supplies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
We are looking for a candidate with a Graduate Technologist, or a Funeral and Allied Health Services Diploma. You will have a working knowledge of the principles of forensic science, including chain of custody and preservation of evidence, morgue operations, histology, forensic imaging and radiographic processes.

Two (2) opportunities are available: one (1) permanent and one (1) term with an anticipated end date of November 30, 2025. The successful candidate will require a valid driver's license and will be asked to provide a driver abstract as driving is required. You will also need to have a Hepatitis B vaccination or provide proof of vaccination upon hire.
