Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwiches. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring they meet quality control standards.
  • Train Staff: Provide training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Determine the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to management on restaurant performance and areas for improvement.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Possess knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Accessibility: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomers and Refugees: Offer diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
