Job Summary:

Schlegel Villages is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Village support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to understand residents' individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene care, basic nursing care, and companionship.
  • Identify and report any changes in residents' well-being to the Registered Practical Nurse or Charge Nurse.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Valid PSW Certificate with 600 hours or greater, meeting the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and respectful attitude towards residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Compliance with Schlegel Villages' COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
