Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Dublin Calling Party Pub & Kitchen. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food to our Chef's specifications, ensuring that orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food to Chef's specifications, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Ensure that orders are fulfilled simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Practice First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management to minimize food waste and ensure freshness.
- Set up and stock stations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare food for service, adhering to our menu and specials.
- Keep all areas clean and organized at all times, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure stock levels of food and supplies are maintained, adhering to our inventory management procedures.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, adhering to our company policies.
- Effectively communicate within the team, offering support as needed.
- Work well within a team environment, maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Have complete knowledge of our food menu and specials, being able to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
- Receive orders from vendors, ensuring quality and quantity meet our standards before signing off.
- Clean your station to a high standard and assist others as needed.
- Be prepared with necessary tools, including a pen, marker, temperature gauge, tasting spoon, and note pad.
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Takes pride in their work and work environment.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
