Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Popina Canteen. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including main courses, sides, and desserts, using fresh ingredients and following established recipes.
- Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of safety and quality, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high-quality food production.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company standards and health and safety regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, organized, team player, and time management skills
Public transportation is available, and the work environment is fast-paced with repetitive tasks. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
