About the Role

As a Traction Power Systems Engineer at Egis Rail Canada, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of electrification projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, System, you will be part of the Technical Design Team and serve as an Electrification Subject Matter Expert.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with contractors to identify design issues and propose effective solutions.
  2. Review design documents and provide detailed comments for improvement.
  3. Participate in interdisciplinary design review meetings to assess potential interface issues.
  4. Identify additional analysis requirements to address technical challenges.
  5. Work with the Senior Project Manager to allocate resources for additional work.
  6. Contribute proactively to resolving project issues and proposing value-for-money solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. A university engineering degree or equivalent qualification, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in the railway industry.
  3. Main line/heavy rail experience with 25kV substations is essential.
  4. Fluency in English is required.
  5. Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  6. Diplomacy and conflict resolution skills are crucial.

Salary Estimate
