Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of railway electrification systems, technical design, and project management. As a Senior Rail Traction Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on electrification projects, reviewing design documents, and attending interdisciplinary design review meetings.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with the contractor (OnXpress) to identify issues and propose strategies to address them.
  • Reviewing design documents and providing adequate comments.
  • Attending interdisciplinary design review meetings to assess potential interface issues with other disciplines.
  • Identifying additional analysis needed to solve technical issues and coordinating with the Senior Project Manager to allocate this work.

You will be proactive in contributing to solving any issues related to the electrification project and proposing value-for-money solutions.

Requirements
  • A University Engineering degree or equivalent qualification such as a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 years of railway experience, preferably with main line/heavy rail experience and 25kV substation knowledge.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, including diplomacy and conflict resolution.
