Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Performance and Controlling Officer to join our team at JRoss Recruiters. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to lead the development of strategic financial goals and oversee the financial planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set financial objectives and develop comprehensive annual plans.
  • Supervise month-end financial statement preparation, ensuring timely completion while implementing process enhancements.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and year-end financial reports, including supporting documentation.
  • Manage external review engagements and oversee physical inventory counts for accuracy.
  • Maintain the integrity and completeness of all financial records, coordinating tax compliance with external accountants.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, developing a robust management reporting system with critical metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze financial statements, presenting findings to senior management to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, ensuring timely payments for all obligations.
  • Protect company assets through proper insurance coverage and compliance with debt covenants.

Information Systems and Technology

  • Participate in IT infrastructure development, maintaining necessary software and hardware systems.
  • Recommend technology enhancements and automation improvements to policies and processes.
  • Design and maintain accounting procedures compliant with legal and accounting standards.
  • Implement ERP systems, ensuring effective internal controls across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, accompanied by a professional accounting designation.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in progressively senior financial roles, preferably within mid-sized retail organizations.
  • Experience in Retail, preferably with soft goods.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Power BI, Sage 300, and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of building positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving with a proactive approach to developing solutions.
  • Strong team-building skills with experience in leading, motivating, and developing high-performance teams.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $100,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for career growth.
