Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator

Mortise Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, and bulldozers, to perform various tasks such as excavation, demolition, and site preparation.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to understand job requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
