About the Role

Stericycle is seeking a highly skilled Plant Supervisor II to oversee the safe and efficient handling and processing of regulated medical waste. This critical role ensures the plant consistently meets regulatory and safety compliance measures, operates productively and profitably, and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, train, and develop a safe, effective, and efficient staff.
  • Ensure the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates productively and profitably.
  • Maintain overall cost control of the plant and ensure continuous improvement and productivity standards.
  • Interface proactively with personnel to achieve business goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate actions to ensure timely resolution of identified hazards, unsafe conditions, or practices.
  • Train off all new plant workers and monthly training of current plant personnel.
  • Perform periodic facility audits and review all applicable regulatory paperwork.
  • Provide for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a 4th class power engineer certificate (preferred) and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with 1+ years of experience managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment. The candidate should also have knowledge of barcode scanning, basic computer skills, Hazardous Materials, and OSHA Regulations, as well as the ability to operate a powered industrial truck (preferred).
