Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Specialist to join our team at SKYDOME AUTO AND TRUCK CENTRE. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software to support business operations.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving services to network users to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures to protect company assets and sensitive information.
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet to facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure efficient use of resources.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations. They will be required to work under pressure, think critically, and make sound judgments to resolve complex issues.

Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in network administration and maintenance

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
