Position Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator at EMCO Corporation, you will be an essential part of our procurement team, focusing on customer and service excellence. Your primary goal will be to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and suppliers, consistently acting in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Procurement and Logistics Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using handling equipment.
  2. Examining received goods for damage and comparing records – such as manifests, invoices, or purchase orders – to verify the accuracy of shipment.
  3. Actioning internal requisition orders and requests; picking, sorting, delivering of goods, and maintaining records of such.
  4. Ensuring received goods are delivered efficiently across the property.
  5. Completing departmental paperwork, including delivery and receiving logs, inventory records, etc.
  6. Assisting with packing items and preparing shipments using online accounts and freight services.
  7. Reporting any low or depleted inventory levels within the department in a timely manner to enable reordering.
  8. Corresponding with Leaders across the property to rectify issues encountered and/or highlight opportunities for improvement to processes.
  9. Managing requests for cross-property transfers alongside shipment deliveries to maximize efficiency and adhere to time constraints.
  10. Communicating effectively using excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  11. Ensuring the shipping and receiving area is always maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  12. Ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  13. Performing local pickup and delivery tasks as necessary.
