About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Coordinator to join our Service Design and Delivery team at the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership to a strong, established delivery team and collaborate with technical experts, Service Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other professionals to develop new products for a variety of initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on leadership to a product delivery and support team, consisting of both internal staff and contracted professionals.
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and assign activities required to develop, deploy, and support digital solutions within an assigned portfolio of products and services.
  • Engage stakeholders and communicate their needs as inputs into software design and development.
  • Proactively lead the delivery of products and services, including managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and escalating more challenging risks and issues.
  • Provide digital expertise to government program partners throughout the stages of a product's lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science and at least five (5) years relevant experience.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and experience in software design and development.
  • Experience leading product delivery and/or technical support teams.
  • Experience with project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Experience estimating effort and duration of projects and tasks and managing timely delivery.
  • Effective decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
Valued Assets
  • Skills and experience with.NET and C#, or other programming languages.
  • Skills and experience with data modelling and database scripting languages (SQL).
  • Experience with APIs and web services.
