At Architecture 49, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to join our CENTRUS team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in the success of our projects, particularly the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project.

This is a complex, long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. Our team, CENTRUS, is a dedicated, multi-disciplinary group with members from Architecture 49 and other joint venture organizations. We're looking for someone who can bring their expertise in technical design and contract documents to help us deliver exceptional results.

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll work closely with our senior team members to validate designs and deliverables, ensuring they meet technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations. You'll also provide technical design solutions for construction, including interior and exterior assemblies, and coordinate internal production teams and project sub-consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Producing technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams.
  • Validating designs and deliverables with senior team members.
  • Providing technical design solutions for construction.
  • Coordinating internal production teams and project sub-consultants.
  • Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
  • Assisting a dedicated site team and preparing documentation for contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college.
  • 10+ years' working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm.
  • Experience leading BIM projects.
  • Construction site experience.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.
  • Professional registration in a provincial association dedicated to technologists will be considered an asset.
