Job Title: Field Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team at Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. in Winnipeg, MB.

Job Summary:

The Field Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications. This includes monitoring work progress and quality, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Monitor work progress and quality, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to discuss project status, address concerns, and implement solutions.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety inspections and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage to ensure timely and efficient site operations.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, work progress, and any changes to the project scope.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the project manager detailing site activities, progress, and any delays or issues encountered.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in setting objectives, reaching goals, and developing teams.
  • Excellent coaching skills.
  • High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Holds a Red Seal Journeyman Plumbing license.
  • Experience in residential new home construction.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Class B gas ticket is a plus.
  • City of Winnipeg Contractors License is advantageous.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and terminology is beneficial.
