About the Role:

Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crop Production Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective business relationships with current and potential customers, providing agronomic information and advice, and conducting soil and tissue analysis to recommend best practices for soil fertility management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers, based on an approach to target customers that would result in a profitable business relationship.
  • Agronomic Services: Provide agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers, arranging for access to specialists and learning opportunities where necessary.
  • Soil and Tissue Analysis: Conduct soil and tissue analysis to recommend best practices for soil fertility management to customers.
  • Research and Response: Research and respond to technical inquiries from customers.
  • Customer Database Management: Maintain and analyze a database/record of customer profiles (product usage and service requirements) to identify, categorize, and prioritize customer base.
  • Communication: Communicate a variety of information and recommendations to staff and customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of Nutrien Ag Solutions product offerings, including features, benefits, and uses.
  • Culture and Compliance: Champion Nutrien's culture of care and comply with Nutrien, industry regulatory, and EH&S standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible agri-business and/or other related customer service function.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Agriculture; equivalent in experience may be considered.
  • Sales Experience: 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Accreditation: CCA or P.Ag. accreditation, or ability to obtain.
