Job Summary

BC Housing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Manager II Non-Resident to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the order and appearance of our residential properties, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the common and public areas, including vacant dwellings, to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Perform minor maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, to ensure the integrity of our properties.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and complaints, and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and train staff, and perform duties as a deputy fire safety director.
  • Identify and report minor deficiencies in contract performance, and arrange for remedial action.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
