Wood is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. This position will report to the Engineering Manager. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Civil Designer to design and develop mining and industrial facilities and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design technology and experience working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D design/drafting software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mining and industrial facilities and infrastructure projects
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to develop and implement project plans and timelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and records
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Design Technology
  • 5+ years of relevant design experience relating to mining, industrial facilities and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of standard drawings for mining and transportation infrastructure projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D design/drafting software
  • Understanding various coordinate systems and geodetic elevation references
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, technical, writing, communication, and computer skills
