Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for administering intravenous therapy and monitoring patients under the care of a physician.

You will also administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as ordered, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Your expertise in nursing practices, as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service, adhering to Greenshield Health values.
  • Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
  • Administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as ordered.
  • Take appropriate action in situations where patient safety may be compromised.
  • Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to nursing practices as outlined by the CNO.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with IVs, hospital nursing preferred.
  • Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
