Job Title: Site Health and Safety Manager

Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC - B85 is seeking an experienced and innovative Site Health and Safety Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Operations Team to execute company Health and Safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local, regional and federal regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates.
  • Develop and execute leadership development plans for WHS professionals.
  • Communicate team expectations and provide frequent feedback, and ensure the team is executing to the core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
  • Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and nonexempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
