About the Role

This position reports directly to the Vice President, Energy. Your responsibilities will include driving program and project execution within budget, schedule, and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes. You will also be responsible for enabling business growth and strengthening market position through proactive project/client management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Oversee one large or multiple smaller projects for our clients in the energy industry">
  • Drive program and project execution within budget, schedule, and scope">
  • Manage risk and ensure adherence to established processes">
  • Enable business growth and strengthen market position through proactive project/client management">
  • Mentor and instruct team members on design requirements, schedules, cost estimates, etc. as required on projects">
  • Review drawings, budgets, and contractor quotations for cost-optimized contracts and profitability">
  • Collaborate with sales teams and VPs to strategize growth and maximize EBITDA for the Business Unit (BU)">
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency gains">
  • Work closely with the sales team and VP to identify opportunities for business growth and develop strategies to maximize EBITDA">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Minimum 10-15+ years' experience in a Project Management or equivalent role">
  • Strong external network and track record managing client relationships">
  • Completed formal training in project management, PMP certification preferred">
  • Engineering degree in a related discipline or technical diploma from post-secondary institution is an asset">
  • Previous experience in an EPCM environment in the energy industry is an asset">
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (Power BI, SharePoint, Oracle)">
  • Commitment to mentoring, training, and retaining a focused team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly">
  • Strong leadership capability as evidenced by demonstrable success in collaborative work environments">
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment">
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail">
  • A proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget with a high degree of client satisfaction">
