About the Role
As a Corporate Finance Director - Strategic Planning and Analysis, you will lead a team of financial analysts in delivering high-quality planning, reporting, and analysis to support the corporate services function within the company. This includes oversight of both OM&A expenses and project financials.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- **Team Leadership & Development**: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- **Financial Planning**: Oversee the financial planning process for OMA and project-related expenses, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Develop models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and long-term planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial forecasts with operational goals and identify risks and opportunities.
- **Financial Analysis**: Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports and dashboards to senior management and business partners. Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying key drivers and providing explanations for variances against budget and forecast. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and corporate policies.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Provide financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders, translating financial information into actionable insights.
- **Process Improvement & Best Practices**: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting tools, and systems to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Lead adherence to financial policies and internal controls within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for various audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
