About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team at Siemens Canada Limited. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our RuggedCom product suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide post-sales technical support for RuggedCom products, including switches, routers, serial servers, NMS, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Work closely with sales, technical support, engineering, and other internal groups to expedite customer resolution.
  • Utilize telephone and remote isolation, diagnostic, and resolution tools to resolve complex integrated end-user implementation, configuration, and operational issues.
  • Log and track cases in our trouble reporting system.
  • Perform support lab management functions, including managing lab networking components and scripting/coding application tools.
Requirements
  • New graduate from a Bachelor/Masters/Diploma in Computer Engineering with a focus on Data Networking.
  • Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one co-op in the related field.
  • Above-average study performance (accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
  • Working knowledge of configuring, implementing, testing, and designing data networking technologies, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP), and network security (firewalls, IDS, SSL/TLS).
