Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Dual Fabrication & Welding Ltd. in the role of Fabrication Assistant - Metal Products.

About the Job

This is a full-time position with a permanent contract, working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have experience with metal fabrication equipment and machinery, including lifting devices. They will also have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Metal Cleaning and Preparation: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products.
  • Equipment Operation: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions and grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Material Handling: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and load and unload vehicles.
  • Quality Control: Polish metal products to a mirror finish and read and interpret work orders.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
  • Language: English (Work Language).
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
