Restaurant Operations Manager - Burger Excellence



Salary: $55,000-$65,000 per year + tip-outs +Bonus and Profit Sharing Plan.



The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant's kitchen department. This involves ensuring the execution of all phases of food procurement, including production & service, inventory & ordering, storage & rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service & production time standards.



To achieve this, the Restaurant Operations Manager will oversee talent & training for the kitchen department, meeting profitability objectives, and controlling food & labor costs.



Responsibilities


  2. Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including scheduling, planning, forecasting, and driving sales while being a champion of culture & bottomless fun.


  3. Influence and adhere to all company standards and policies, including the code of conduct, attendance, uniform and appearance policy.


  4. Delegator of duties and follow-up on tasks, remaining accountable overall for the restaurant and Team Members to ensure our guests continue to love coming to Red Robin.


  5. Ensure adherence to company cash handling and payment processing procedures.


  6. Emphasize safety, sanitation, and security awareness, ensuring that Team Members are properly trained to create safe situations.


  7. Maintain company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds by using a preventative maintenance program.


  8. Prepare and conduct performance appraisals with Team Members and provide coaching in line with company standards.


  9. Regularly measure and evaluate service standards by using various feedback tools to develop and implement plans for continuous service improvement.


  10. Provide support in ensuring the optimization of profit by utilizing labor efficiently and ordering food and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory, portion correctly, minimize waste etc.


  11. Unbridled hospitality and personal connections are in our DNA – build year-over-year sales by promoting the restaurant locally and ensure guest satisfaction with prompt problem resolution.


  12. Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate & local restaurant marketing programs, including off-premise catering and sales.


  13. We believe in a total team mentality, expect to spend limited time performing hourly FOH/HOH functions, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, serving, and greeting our crazy loyal Guests.


  14. The Restaurant Management Team is responsible for the selection, onboarding, and retention of all Shift Supervisors & Team Members through motivation, recognition, coaching, and development.


  15. Honor our Team Members by setting performance expectations and monitor training process to ensure quality of training.


  16. Require operational excellence, recognize legendary acts of leadership, and develop management staff in all areas of restaurant leadership and Company standards.


  17. Be a great mentor by devoting time to train, coach, and develop team members by adapting to individual styles and motivational needs.




Requirements




  • A minimum of 1 year full-service restaurant experience at a Kitchen Manager or Assistant Manager level required.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.


  • Foodsafe Level 1 certified preferred, Level 2 an asset.


  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.


  • Reliable transportation required.


  • Some exposure to P&L and Sales Building a plus.
