Job Summary

As a Produce Department Manager at Walmart Canada, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in the produce department to provide excellent customer service and achieve production goals. Your key responsibilities will include receiving merchandise, utilizing equipment, and monitoring for repair, as well as administering required paperwork and logs. You will also be responsible for maintaining salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up and maintaining product displays. Additionally, you will participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of all Produce Associates. You will lead by example, greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, and assist by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions. You will also complete all aspects of the Produce Store Within A Store (SWAS) planning, attend SWAS meetings to review SWAS Reports for food products, orders, and sales information, and ensure in-stock and appropriate inventory levels in the Produce Department by executing all merchandising programs and replenishment programs. You will ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items, and maintain a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures. You will complete and maintain required paperwork, such as Inventory Tracking Reports, throwaway record sheets, invoices, and assignment notes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receives merchandise, utilizes equipment appropriately, and monitors for repair.
