IT Support Specialist

PCL Construction is a leader in building the places where life happens. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site user IT support to our project teams, including remote and on-site assistance as needed.
- Promote the adoption of technology solutions at district jobsites, including deployment, ongoing support, and technical training.
- Actively seek out issues, problems, and opportunities, and create solutions through feedback from operational project teams.
- Build working relationships with project teams.
- Set up and maintain various technologies and infrastructure at construction sites, including remote support.
- Provide technical support and training to aid users with the use of construction technology applications and assist other team members with technical issues.
- Resolve user-reported problems through timely logging of issues, resolution to problems, following the company's procedures and policies.
- Administer and monitor construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation and respond to issues.
- Accurately and timely log problems and resolutions in the problem-management database.
- Assist other team members with technical issues and provide implementation support on corporate and regional initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in computer technology or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of O365 products.
- A basic understanding of networking standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Intermediate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, results-oriented and able to drive deadlines.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work and delegate simple tasks.
- Results-oriented and able to drive deadlines.
- Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Passionate and motivated about being engaged in adoption of new processes and emerging technologies that enhance efficiency.
- Able to travel to projects within and outside of city limits.
- Capable of lifting various computing equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
