Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team at Big Dreams Early Learning Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children with staff members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding tasks.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Salary and Benefits
