Job Overview

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity for nurses to perform high-quality telephone assessments and provide clinical supervision to members within a multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role

  • Act as an autonomous practitioner providing comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessment services to patients and/or their carers/relatives, resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Provide real-time clinical support to NHS 24 frontline staff, leading to safe, appropriate, and person-centred outcomes.
  • Facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information, self-care/health improvement advice, or referral to the appropriate level and location of care, meeting the holistic and therapeutic requirements of the patient/carer.
  • Deliver clinical supervision to non-clinical staff using various models.

Requirements

  • Registered as an Adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to provide continuous clinical supervision and leadership.
  • Extensive post-registration experience, preferably within an acute or primary care setting, with a broad range of knowledge across multiple specialties.
  • Critical decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
