Job Title: Senior IT Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join our team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). As a key member of our Information Management Group (IMG), you will be responsible for supporting our VoIP infrastructure, Unified Communications, and other IT-related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain our VoIP infrastructure, including installation, management, and troubleshooting of medium to large VoIP systems in a heterogeneous environment.
  • Provide technical recommendations to projects requiring IT infrastructure input in areas such as Network, QOS, and Virtualization.
  • Analyze and document application performance characteristics for CAMH applications, and implement solutions to ensure an optimal environment.
  • Work with our outsourcing vendor to ensure the environment is running at optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a computer-related field, combined with relevant work experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supporting VoIP telephony in a Cisco Network Environment.
  • Senior level hands-on experience installing, managing, and troubleshooting medium to large VoIP systems in a heterogeneous environment.
  • Senior level understanding of at least two of the following technologies: ConnexAll Middleware, Virtualization, Network, RTLS, Cisco Wi-Fi, and Active Directory 2008/2012.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical and business information/processes to all levels of the organization.
