Project Superintendent Job Description

BA Blacktop Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to lead our construction operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects to ensure timely completion, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project schedules, resource allocation, and budget plans.
  • Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily quantity reports, extra work orders, and safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with the safety department to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of road construction activities and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, Kheops, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to measure and verify quantities.
  • Desirable qualifications include Public Works Course (BCIT), Construction Management Courses, Civil Engineering Diploma/Degree, and Registered with ASTTBC.
