Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to supervise and coordinate the activities of our grocery clerks and shelf stockers in a fast-paced department store environment.

About the Role:

  • Manage inventory levels, optimize stock placement, and ensure timely restocking of merchandise.
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of skilled workers to meet sales targets and customer demands.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventories to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues, address customer complaints, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish work schedules, set performance metrics, and implement process improvements.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, retail operations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
