About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Management Supervisor to join our team at A&W Restaurant.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food. This includes establishing methods to meet work schedules, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the day-to-day activities of kitchen staff, including preparing and portioning food, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training to new staff members, mentor employees to improve their skills and performance, and develop a positive and productive work environment.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation, manage inventory levels, and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all food and beverages meet high-quality standards, adhere to health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Prepare Reports and Budgets: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, and employee performance, as well as prepare budgets and cost estimates for menu items and other restaurant operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role or related industry
  • Work Setting: Fast-paced restaurant environment with multiple tables and orders
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending, twisting, and reaching while moving around the kitchen
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending, twisting, and reaching while moving around the kitchen.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $40,000 and $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
