About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate at Sunset Market and Floral. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with social and labour market integration, including facilitating access to community resources and language training.
  • Support for Youths: Provide on-the-job training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, and provide cultural competency training.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: An asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
