About the Role

Baker Tilly WM LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Audit and Accounting Services group in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing compilations, reviews, NTRs, and audit engagements, as well as leading engagement teams and mentoring and training staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns
  • Lead engagement teams and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Mentor and train staff to develop their skills and expertise
  • Correspond with partners, managers, and clients to ensure effective communication
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • CPA, CA, or working towards a CPA designation
  • Public practice experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
  • Experience in both private and public enterprise an asset
  • Superior people and client service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Adept organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Caseware experience an asset
