International Tax Senior Accountant

Baker Tilly WM LLP is a leading midsize accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced International Tax Senior Accountant to join our tax practice in Vancouver or Toronto.

About the Role

This versatile role will involve working directly with a number of our staff and clients, providing value-added audit, tax and advisory solutions that support local businesses. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in managing tax engagements and contributing to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review (where applicable) International individual and corporate tax returns
  • Verify tax assessments
  • Perform technical research and documenting tax plan recommendations
  • Correspond with clients, other advisors and tax authorities
  • Coordinate and manage client accounts
  • Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including but not limited to developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients
  • Understand, analyze and research tax queries for clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers
  • Collaborate with and support team members in providing exceptional client service
  • Provide leadership and direction to junior team members to ensure completion of filings by designated deadlines
