About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Community Psychiatrist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Virtual Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to patients in a community/rural setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person outpatient clinics, telehealth, and virtual care services to patients in the Central Zone
  • Support community/rural clinics in the Central Zone, Addiction & Mental Health
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health conditions
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant experience in all scopes of practice
  • Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of independent practice as the Most Responsible Physician for a wide range of patients
  • Experience within the past 24 months being responsible for after-hours inpatient care
  • Valid and relevant license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, or a valid Notification of Eligibility Letter from the CPSA
