Join Our Team as an Adult Community Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Community Psychiatrist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our Mental Health department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires recent and relevant experience in all scopes of practice. You will be responsible for supporting community/rural clinics in the Central Zone, Addiction & Mental Health via in-person outpatient clinics, telehealth, and other virtual care means.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults in a community setting
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health conditions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of independent practice as a Most Responsible Physician
  • Experience within the past 24 months of being responsible for after-hours inpatient care
  • Valid and relevant license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta or a valid Notification of Eligibility Letter from the CPSA
