Role Overview

Job Summary
  • Provide person-focused, holistic, recovery-oriented, culturally-guided, strengths-based, and trauma-informed assessments and treatment.
  • Co-develop collaborative care plans and provide a range of services appropriate to the child/youth and their families to meet the needs of the mental health and substance/process use concerns.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Support development of reflective capacity by conjointly creating and monitoring recovery-oriented goals and adapting care plans as needed, while prioritizing the inclusion of diverse needs and strengths in the goals.
  2. Facilitate psycho-educational, support, and treatment groups for adolescents and parents.
  3. Carry out case management functions, including convening case conferences and liaising with community services and other professionals involved with the youth and family.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree that permits registration under the Health Professions Act, with course work in substance use treatment or concurrent disorders and/or work experience or post-graduate training.
  • One to two years of substance use counseling experience in a community or tertiary setting is preferred.

The estimated salary for this role is between $39.41 and $49.95 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
