A-1 Window Mfg. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team.
Job OverviewThis role involves working on various wood-related tasks, including reading blueprints and determining work requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine the scope of work.
- Create accurate layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
- Fabricate, install, and finish windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
This role requires standing, walking, and sitting in combination. It is physically demanding and may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
Personal SuitabilityWe are looking for individuals who possess strong skills in measurement and calculation, as well as excellent physical abilities. Teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to work accurately, demonstrate sound judgement, and maintain a high level of productivity.
Estimated salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
