The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex legal processes, including mediations and discoveries, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on their rights and the legal process.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and case preparation, including client interviews, reviewing medical records, and gathering necessary evidence to build strong cases.
  • Represent clients in mediations, discoveries, and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes, collaborating with medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals.
  • Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs in accordance with court procedures, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law and any changes in provincial legislation.
  • Provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills, managing multiple cases and working under tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Ontario Bar, with proven experience with mediations and discoveries.
  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and its applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
