Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Investigator to join our team. As an Investigator, you will play a critical role in facilitating the Commissioner's decision-making process by providing professional and accurate information, including reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigative Reporting
    • Analyze results and prepare comprehensive investigative reports to support case management.
    • Develop and implement effective investigation strategies to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Caseload Management
    • Manage a high-volume caseload while providing support to other team members as needed.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless case progression.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Participate in team meetings to identify issues, share information, and make decisions.
    • Contribute to the development of unit performance standards and operational business planning.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in investigation and case management.
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., criminology, law, or a related social science).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investigation, case management, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
