Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Bramgate Automotive. As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, as well as inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide customer service and interact with customers in a professional manner
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Work Environment

As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be working in a fast-paced workshop environment with a team of experienced technicians. You will be required to stand for extended periods and have good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
